Elizabethan era garments or “Shakespeare Threads” are a mainstay in theatre and film! Explore historical costume construction to create a historical doublet or bodice similar to those worn in Shakespeare inspired musicals & Juliet, Something Rotten, Kiss Me Kate and Six.

This 5-session Teen Tech program teaches each step in the construction of a garment in the Shakespearian era. Participants, ages 12-17, will be guided through flat patterning using body blocks, historical fabrics, cutting and sewing techniques both machine and hand, and finishing details including grommets and steel boning.

Design, construct, and take home your very own garment that the Bard himself would envy!

Please be sure to check your calendar before purchase as classes, youth productions and camps are nonrefundable.

Limited Spaces Available. Tuition Assistance available.
